Point32Health & Celtics United discuss driving health equity as a team

Health equity is most central to our work and mission at Point32Health. Our health plans are among the first in New England to earn Health Equity Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The Point32Health Foundation invests in nonprofit organizations centering community-led solutions that address systemic inequities. And, we partner with organizations to work together to directly address health inequities in the communities we serve.

Starting in 2021, Point32Health and Boston Celtics United joined forces to launch Spread the Health, an initiative focused on health topics – mental health, food insecurity, health equity, maternal health, and more – that impact the health and wellness of Black and Brown communities. This past June, representatives from our two organizations sat down for a panel discussion as part of the Boston Globe’s Health Equity Day 2024.

Kate Wallis, Vice President, Health Equity and Clinical Innovation for Point32Health, and Allison Feaster Vice President of Team Operations and Organizational Growth for the Boston Celtics, sat down with Peggy Byrd, Chief Marketing Officer for Boston Globe Media, to discuss how we are “Driving Health Equity as a Team.”
